The Erie Cemetery Association is calling for volunteers to assist with various projects at Erie, Laurel Hill and Wintergreen Gorge Cemeteries. Your contribution is especially valuable at the Erie Cemetery, located at 2116 Chestnut Street, Erie PA, which is the oldest of the three sites. Volunteer tasks include entering historical data into a database (with provided training), conducting research on those interred, giving tours, planting flowers and cleaning headstones. Volunteer opportunities are available weekdays from 8:00am-4:00pm and Thursday evenings from 6pm - 8pm throughout the Summer and Fall seasons. Most volunteers work in 2-hour shifts.
